Destroyit 2604SMC Super Micro Cut DOD/NSA approved High-Security Shredder is a HIPAA/FACTA compliant shredder used by government agencies for sensitive shredding. 2604SMC can shred 6-8 sheets at a speed of 28 fpm. It includes the "SPS" (Safety Protection System) package which includes an electronically controlled, transparent safety shield in the feed opening, an "Easy Switch" control element that uses color codes and back-lit symbols to indicate operational status, an automatic reverse and power cut-off to prevent paper jams, an automatic power cut-off when the shred bag is full or when the cabinet door is opened, double protection against overheating, and an "ESM" (Energy Saving Mode) after 1 hour of inactivity. The automatic start and stop feature is controlled by a photo cell. The Destroyit 2604SMC's blades are high-quality, hardened steel cutting shafts that are soft metal resistant and can shred paper.
